We realise it can be overwhelming to decide what you are looking for when purchasing heating for your home; is a heat pump more energy efficient than a wood burner? What are the benefits of a heat pump versus a pellet fire or gas heating? Will it be cheaper to run a heat pump or gas central heating?

Endorsed by government agencies and consumer advocacy groups alike, heat pumps are known to be one of the most efficient forms of heating available. In addition to this, they offer features that other heating cannot, like dehumidifying, air filtration, safety and ease of use.

Energy Efficient
Heat Pumps are great (and it’s very difficult to compare apples to pears), however, they do draw a lot of power compared to a FIR. For example, to heat a room of approximately 20 m2 a heat pump (which range in size from 2500 watt to 16000 watt) would likely use a machine which draws 2900 watts of power. For the same size room, we would recommend an infrared solution drawing 800-1000 watts of power, saving substantial electricity costs.

Breathe easy
Infrared heaters allow even heat distribution in a room, without stirring up dust particles, benefitting people with allergies, especially asthma sufferers. One infrared heater (of the correct size for your room) warms and dries internal walls, preventing or reducing the build-up of mould or other allergens. And unlike other conventional heaters, does not create any moisture, noise or odour. They gently warm the room to an ambient temperature so you don’t get a sudden blast of hot air.
